Since 2024, Villa Pérochon, the Centre for Contemporary Photographic Art in Niort, has been overseeing the Photography & Science Prize, created by Résidence 1+2 in Toulouse.
This autumn, Villa Pérochon presents a group exhibition entitled VÉGÉTAL, bringing together two prize winners: Jordan Beal – the 2025 winner for his series Deliciosa – and Anaïs Tondeur – the 2023 winner for her series Fleurs de feux.
Although their practices and intentions are not exactly the same, Anaïs Tondeur and Jordan Beal both approach the plant world not simply as a subject of representation, but as an interlocutor and a means of revealing the relationships between humans, territories, history and the living world.
