For the first time, the Museum Les Abattoirs – Frac Occitanie Toulouse and Galerie Le Château d’Eau offer visitors a journey through a rich, little-known photographic heritage. The exhibition, presented at Les Abattoirs, features a wide selection of photographic works from the collections of the two public institutions, providing a broad overview of 20th and 21st century photography, bringing together the biggest names as well as artists to be discovered or rediscovered, such as Hans Bellmer, Claude Batho, Gaël Bonnefon, Mohamed Bourouissa, Brassaï, Sophie Calle, Denis Darzacq, Jean Dieuzaide, Robert Doisneau, Ralph Gibson, Laura Henno, Ouka Leele, Robert Mapplethorpe, Gina Pane, Agnès Varda, Gisèle Vienne, Sabine Weiss and others.
The exhibition also includes works by Dimitra Dede, belonging to the Chateau d’Eau collection.
