The contemporary art scene in Naples has long been deeply intertwined with the work of its galleries, which over the years have played a fundamental role in shaping the cultural landscape. Even before the establishment of museums and foundations, galleries were at the forefront, engaged in intense activity focused on the international scene, experimentation, and research. Napoli Gallery Weekend is positioning itself as an annual event open to growth and expansion. This first edition aims to foster an unprecedented level of collaboration among participating galleries, with a vision for integrating projects beyond traditional exhibition spaces in the future. The focus of the event is exclusively on Naples, offering a weekend itinerary that highlights the unique contributions of each gallery. Exploring Naples’ galleries means traversing the entire urban landscape of the city. Napoli Gallery Weekend also offers a chance to discover some of Naples’ most iconic locations, from the elegant Chiaia district to the historic city center and the intriguing industrial area of East Naples. In doing so, the event reveals the city’s many contrasts and multifaceted character.
