We are pleased to announce the second edition of Napoli Gallery Weekend, taking place from 23
to 25 May 2025.
Participating galleries: Acappella, Alfonso Artiaco, Andrea Ingenito Contemporary Art, Andrea
Nuovo Home Gallery, Annarumma, Galleria Fonti, Gallerie Riunite, Galleria Solito, Galleria Tiziana
Di Caro, Lia Rumma, Shazar Gallery, Spot Home Gallery, Studio Trisorio, Thomas Dane Gallery,
Umberto Di Marino, will offer both local and visiting audiences three days of shared, coordinated
openings.
“Galleries are laboratories of meaning, places where the future of art is shaped before it is even
recognized,” Filiberto Menna once said.
Indeed, the landscape of contemporary art in Naples has been shaped by the steadfast and
visionary commitment of its galleries, which have long operated as independent cultural
outposts. Guided by pioneering sensibilities, these spaces frequently anticipated the directions
later embraced by institutions and museums. Over time, Neapolitan galleries have established
themselves as crucial hubs of artistic experimentation, fostering a more open and international
dialogue.
The second edition of Napoli Gallery Weekend marks a further step in a collective journey
that has been unfolding over time. Following the experience of Contemporaneamente in 2020
and the inaugural edition of the weekend in 2024, this new chapter reaffirms the ambition to
establish a recurring annual event: one that channels and connects the vibrant, multifaceted
energy of Naples’ artistic landscape.
Compared to its inaugural edition, this year’s initiative features a more structured format and a
clearer long-term vision: the intention is to strengthen connections between galleries and their
audiences, while progressively opening up to collateral projects, engaging new publics, and
sparking new synergies.
The 2025 edition aims to promote collective participation by encouraging continuous dialogue
between galleries, their curatorial perspectives, and the visiting public. The program will take
place entirely in Naples, spanning three days of coordinated openings and special events that
will animate the city’s urban geography: from the district of Chiaia to the historic heart of the
center.
A significant new element this year is the active involvement of contemporary art institutions
across the city, which will be included in the Napoli Gallery Weekend program through guided
tours and/or dedicated events, highlighting, once again, the shared spirit and cohesion of Naples’
contemporary art network.
The new edition of Napoli Gallery Weekend positions itself as a renewed lens on the city’s artistic
landscape: it is a conscious heir to a celebrated past, yet projected towards a future shaped by
growth, inquiry, and cohesion.
