We are delighted to host at the gallery Polish publishers Grzegorz Kosmala and Aneta Kowalczyk – BLOW UP PRESS, who will show us their magnificent creations.
BLOW UP PRESS is a boutique-style family-run publishing house based in Warsaw, Poland. It publishes photobooks and lens-based artist’s books. Initially operating as an online publisher, BLOW UP PRESS switched to paper to produce publications reflecting the publishing house motto “When the story matters.” They are known for their thoughts provoking subjects and sophisticated design. Their publications have been recognised internationally and honoured with various awards, including Maribor Photobook Awards (2020), Tokyo International Foto Awards (2018, 2019), Moscow International Foto Awards (2018, 2019, 2020), PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris (2019), International Photography Awards (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021), Grand Press Photo (2018, 2019), Polish Graphic Design Awards (2019), and shortlisted for PHotoESPAÑA (2018, 2019, 2020), Prix Bob Calle du livre d’artiste (2019), among others.
From 2020, BLOW UP PRESS also organises the BUP Book Award – a book competition which the main prize is to transfer a photography-based project to the book format and its publication.

During the meeting Grzegorz Kosmala and Aneta Kowalczyk, people behind BLOW UP PRESS, will talk about their publishing approach and philosophy. Listen how their passion became their life-style. Go with them through many turning points they had on their way.

The meeting will be also an occasion to purchase their publications. One of them, Eternal U by Hubert Humka is nominated to the European Design Award in the Book Layout category that will be given in Naples on June 1. The books published by BLOW UP PRESS discuss important topics describing condition of the contemporary world and man. They provide fascinating stories closed in amazing forms.
