Lorenzo Castore and Michael Ackerman have known each other for over 20 years and have built a very deep and rich friendship. Before they met, they both, individually, made repeated trips to work and travel in India. These were magical, life changing experiences.
This documentary film tells the story of their return to India, this time together, collaborating to create a work that combines their similarities and differences of vision and mentality, in the exploration of a land that has a profound hold on both of them.
Along the way they question themselves and dive into delicate topics such as friendship, the risk of making artistic and life choices, the opportunity to learn through travelling with someone who shares the same needs. Photography, then, becomes a pretext – as well as the medium – to carry out this existential pursuit.
